Jiayu’s research focuses on the comparative genomics of soilborne plant pathogens, particularly Rhizoctonia solani and Phytophthora nicotianae. She uses whole-genome analyses to investigate evolutionary relationships, fungicide resistance, and virulence variations in both organisms.
